Talking about traffic
snarls reminds me that Delhi has more vehicles than the other entire three
metropolitan taken together. Delhi boasts of best roads, plenty of flyovers to
ease traffic congestion, apart from a steady public transport system, notably
the metro, to take off burden from roads. Yet traffic jam has become a common
phenomenon. People of Delhi are victims of pollution due to an increase in
vehicular traffic in as much as they are victims of corruption at high places,
which has also seen an exponential increase in recent times. This is in spite
the fact that CNG has been made compulsory in the NCR. Come winter and smog
engulfs the skyline of Delhi. At times I wonder whether this increase in
pollution level on road in Delhi is directly proportional to the increase in
corruption cases at high places which is reflected in increase in number of
vehicles being registered in Delhi every day. This is indeed amazing?
